Kenneth Edmond Veach, Sr., 79 of Bedford, passed away Sunday, April 18, 2010 at the Vetearns Administration Hospital, Salem. He was born on Saturday, March 7, 1931 in Camden, NJ, a son of the late Sommers Veach and Bessie Nichols Veach Esler. He was also preceded in death by a son, John Robert Veach. He was a retired employee of R. C. A Communications and was a member of Epworth United Methodist Chuch . He was also a U. S. Army Veteran. Surviving is his wife, Joyce Wylie Esler Veach of Bedford; two sons, Kenneth E. Veach, Jr. & wife, Lucy of Bedford and David M. Veach of Goodview; a grandson, Erik David Veach, Goodview. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 24, 2010 at 11:00 AM at Epworth United Methodist Church with Rev. Joe Shoop officiating. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. Arrangements are being handled by Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford
