Obituary of Mary Forman

Mary Lee BaileyForman, 86 of Bedford, passed away Sunday, March 18, 2012 at the home of her daughter in Bedford County. She was born on Saturday, December 12, 1925 in Pocomoke City, MD, a daughter of the late Willis Collins Hall and Mary Conaway Hall. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Albert Merrill Bailey. She was a retired Family Planning Assistant at the Virginia Department of Health and was a member of Bedford Baptist Church. Surviving is her husband, John Ralph Forman of Bedford, a daughter, Lynda Bailey Sauerwald & her husband Tom of Lynchburg; two sons; Albert Wayne Bailey & his wife Vickie of Nashville, TN, and Robert Gregg Bailey & his wife Lynn of Bedford; eight grandchildren, Travis Brown & his wife Nicole of Amherst, Erin Hoffman & her husband, Gregg of Culpeper, Lauren & Brian Sauderwald of Amisville; Tory Bailey of Bedford, Gretchen Moore & her husband, Garrett of Washington DC, Layne Bailey of Lynchburg, Danner Ashworth & her husband, Brian of Barboursville; thirteen great-grandchildren; four brothers; Edgar Hall and Dale Hall both of Pokomoke City, MD, Willis Hall of Salsbury, MD and Jimmy Hall of Charlotte, NC. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, March 23, 2012 at the Updike Funeral Home Chapel, Bedford with Rev. Edgar Hall officiating. Interment will follow in Virginia Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Thursday, March 22 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford.
