Pamela Diane Kampf Persinger passed away peacefully at her home on March 14, 2012, after a valiant fight against cancer. She was born November 19, 1952, a daughter of the late Nan H. and Paul B. Kampf. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Martha N. Kampf. She graduated from the University of Kansas in 1974 and received her masters from UVA. She had a degree in Speech Therapy & Audiology. She had her own business for 25 years and worked with several medical facilities in the Roanoke Valley and SW Virginia. She is survived by her husband, of 17 years, Thomas B. Persinger; sister, Paula K. Albertson and her husband, Richard; brother, Ward A. Kampf and his wife Kim G.;nieces, Karley N. Kampf, Sara Albertson; nephews, Gregory H. Kampf and Chad Albertson. A celebration of life will be held 11:00 AM Saturday March 24, 2012 at Christ Lutheran Church, 2011 Brandon Ave, SW with the Rev. Cindy Keyser officiating. The family will receive friends at the church beginning at 10:00 AM. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial donations be made to The American Cancer Society, 2840 Electric Road, Ste. 106A, Roanoke, VA 24018.
