Margaretha Eisenreich Saunders, 76 of Lynch Station, passed away Tuesday, March 13, 2012 at Autumn Care of Altavista. She was born on Friday, May 3, 1935 in Engleheim, Germany, a daughter of the late Joseph Wilheim Eisenreich and Elizabeth B. Eisenreich. She was a retired employee of the Lane Company and was a member of Lynch Station Baptist Church. Surviving are her husband, Junior Luther Saunders of Lynch Station, 5 daughters; Betty K. Harris of Huddleston, Cheryl S. Nichols of Altavista, Brenda S. McGregor of Java, Carol S. Rowland of Chatham, and Shirley S. Miller of Altavista, a son, Walter W. Saunders of Long Island, VA, a brother, Erich Eisenreich and a sister Ursula Eisenreich, both of Germany, 11 grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother William Eisenreich. The family requests those wishing to make memorials to consider the Lynch Station Baptist Church, 797 Powell Road, Lynch station, VA 24571. Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 16, 2012 at 11:00 am at Lynch Station Baptist Church with Rev Tom Fuson officiating. Interment will follow in Mt Hermon United Methodist Church Cemetery. Friends may call after 1:00 PM and the family will receive friends Thursday, March 15, 2012 from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm. at the funeral home.
