Jeannie Carol Brewer, 52 of Huddleston, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 29, 2012. She was born on Tuesday, June 9, 1959 in Goldsboro, NC, a daughter of the Rufus William Brewer, Jr. and Minnie Rose Smith Brewer of Huddleston. She was a registered nurse and was a member of Bethesda United Methodist Church. In addition to her father and mother, she is survived by two brothers, Ray Brewer & wife, Roberta, Will Brewer all of Huddleston; a niece, Aleshia White of Thaxton. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 3, 2012 at 1:00 pm at Updike Funeral Chapel, Huddleston with Rev. Sue Keen officiating. Interment will follow in Bethesda United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the family home. Arrangements are being handled by Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Huddleston.
