Perry Allen Newman, 59 of Goode, VA passed away Friday, April 13, 2012 at his residence. He was born on Friday, August 22, 1952 in Lynchburg, a son of the late Allen Marvin Newman and Rosalind Alice Perry Newman of Bedford, who survives. He was retired from Powell Trucking & Equipment. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Teresa Irby Newman; two sons, Allen Newman, Paul Newman & wife, Angela, all of Richmond; his step-daughter, Crystal Bagwell & husband, Michael of Parksley, VA; three grandchildren, Ashton Newman, Hannah Newman, Crosby Newman, all of Richmond; a cousin, Lois Jean Crawford & family of Bedford & West Virginia; one aunt & four cousins from England. The family requests those wishing to make memorials to consider the Bedford Humane Society, P. O. Box 1293, Bedford, VA 24523. Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 16, 2012 at 2:00 PM at Updike Funeral Chapel, Bedford with Rev. Wayne Murphy officiating. Interment will follow in Virginia Memorial Park. Friends may call Sunday after 1 PM and the family will receive friends from 6 until 8 PM at Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford
