Clarence Lenwood "John" Davis, 77 of Bedford, passed away Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at Bedford Memorial Hospital. He was born on Sunday, October 28, 1934 in Bedford County, a son of the late John Willie Davis and Dollie Ann Hensley Davis. Surviving are his sisters, Mary Davis Gardner of Bedford, sister, Fannie Davis Gardner of Moneta, his brothers, Russell F. Davis & wife, Betty of Bedford, Andrew L Davis & wife, Ella of Bedford, Robert A. Davis of Big Island, Walter S. Davis & wife, Ruth of Bedford; two sisters-in-law, Velma Davis of Bedford, Mary Davis of Big Island. Funeral services will be held at the graveside at Ebenezer United Methodist Church Cemetery on Thursday, April 12, 2012 at 1:00 pm with Rev. Bill Owsley officiating. There will be no visitation. Arrangements are being handled by Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford
