Obituary of Arline Reynolds

Dorothy "Arline" Timberlake Reynolds passed peacefully in her sleep after an extended illness with Alzheimer's into the loving arms of her Savior, Jesus Christ on April 4, 2012 at Lucy Corr Village in Chesterfield, Virginia. She was 88 years old. Arline was born on January 22, 1924 in Newark, New Jersey as the only child to Clifton Wray and Lillie Elizabeth Timberlake. Arline relocated to Bedford in the late 1940's where she raised two sons, Chuck and Rick and called this her home for life. Over the years, she worked for the Bedford Chamber of Commerce and retired from Bunker Hill Foods. Her most active and memorable community service activities were with Bedford Ride and the Habitat for Humanity. She was an active member of St. John's Episcopal Church. Her compassion for animals showed in her love for her cats and wild birds. She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her two sons Charles, "Chuck" Reynolds and his wife Lea Ann of Richmond. Richard "Rick" Reynolds of Fort Worth, Texas; five grandchildren, Scott David Reynolds of Fort Worth, Sandra Lynn Lawrence and husband Jason Kilpatrick of Cypress,Texas, David Afshin Hooshmandi of St. Louis, Missouri; Megan Nicole Adams of Austin, Texas and Katie Elizabeth Adams of Arlington, Texas. 4 great- grandchildren; Frank Lee and wife Katie Lynn Reynolds; Kristina Lynn Reynolds all in Fort Worth, Texas. Jacob Kilpatrick and Hailey Lynn Lawrence of Cypress, Texas. One great- great- granddaughter, Kaylin Ann Reynolds of Fort Worth, Texas. Memorial service and interment will be Sunday April 29th at 2pm at St. John's Episcopal Church Bedford. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude for all the loving care by the staff in the Matoaca Unit of Lucy Corr Village. The quality of her life was increased immeasurably by having these caregivers in her life.
