John Lewis Tolley, 66 of Bedford, passed away Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at Centra Lynchburg General Hospital. He was born on Tuesday, November 27, 1945 in Bedford County, a son of the late Clarence L. Tolley and Willie Goff Tolley. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Violet Brown Tolley. He was a retired machinist at Lynchburg Foundry and was a veteran of the U. S. Marines. Surviving is his wife, Judy Abbott Tolley; two daughters, Tamatha (Tammie) Tuck & husband, Michael of Moneta, Theresa Lynn Tolley of Moneta, two grandsons, Jonathan Wilkinson, Jaret Tuck, two great-grandchildren, Kathryn L. Wilkinson, David A. Wilkinson; two sisters, Audrey Minnick, Rachel Snead; a step-son, Benjamin Jenkins & wife, Heather, a step-granddaughter, Dixie Lynn Jenkins. Funeral services will be held at the graveside at Hunting Creek Baptist Church Cemetery on Friday, May 4, 2012 at 11:00 am with Rev. Jerry Parr officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford
