June E. Richmond, 84 of Thaxton, VA and formerly of Fairview Village, passed away Saturday, July 28, 2012 at Carriage Hill Retirement Center after a long illness. She was born on Friday, February 10, 1928 in Glenolden, PA, a daughter of the late Wayne T. Dell and Gladys H. Dell. June spent most of her life in Worcester Twp. graduating from Norristown High School, Class of 1946. She was the loving wife of Thomas F. Richmond, who predeceased her. June loved to read or listen to books on tape, work crossword puzzles and she was the consummate bridge player. She was a big fan of baseball and her beloved Phillies. For many years she worked at the election polls. Prior to moving to Virginia, she was a member of Grace Baptist Church. Surviving are her sons, Mark Richmond & wife, Ginny, Dell Richmond & wife, Skipper, five grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, a brother, David Dell & wife, Miriam. Funeral services will be held at the graveside at Lower Providence Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Eagleville, PA on Wednesday, August 1, 2012 at 11 AM. Pastor Ernest Mascho of Grace Baptist Church will officiate. Arrangements are being handled by Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford, VA (540-586-3304)
