Thomas Frederick Faucher, 73 of Bedford, passed away Thursday, August 23, 2012 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. He was born on Monday, August 7, 1939 in Providence, RI, a son of the late Leo Faucher and Laura Ivory Faucher. He was also preceded in death by a son, Thomas Frederick Faucher, Jr. He was retired from the U. S. Air Force with 20 years of service and a comminicant of Holy Name of Mary Catholic Church. He was also a member of the Moose Lodge # 1897, the Elks Lodge, the Eagles and the V. F. W. Post # 2157. Surviving is his wife, Martha Johnson Faucher; a daughter, Laura Hawkes; two sons, Jay Faucher, Robert Faucher; his brother, Roland Faucher, eleven grandchildren, Corinne, Janice, Amanda, Jennifer, Whitney, Cody, Robert, Tom III, Casey, Nicole, Trevor as well as seven great grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, August 29, 2012 at 10:00 am at Holy Name of Mary Catholic Church with Father Salvador Añonuevo officiating. Interment, with military honors by Seymour Johnson Air Force Base Honor Guard, will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6 until 8 PM at Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford.
