Kenneth Odell Patterson, 71 of Lynch Station, passed away Thursday, August 23, 2012 at his home. He was born on Thursday, July 17, 1941 in Campbell County, VA, a son of the late John Rufus Patterson and Eliza Crouch Patterson. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Calvin C. Patterson He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 70 for 46 years he was also a member of the VFW Post #4165, and a U.S. Army veteran. Surviving are his wife, Jean Cox Patterson, a daughter, Tina Marie Patterson, 2 Brothers, James M. Patterson & wife Amanda, Nelson Patterson & wife Lou, 2 sisters, Ruby P. Reynolds, Agnes P. Hedrick & husband Larry, sister-in-law, Rebecca Gress & husband Mel, 2 brothers-in-law, Lynwood Cox & wife Barbara and Harry Cox & wife Kathy. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, August 26, 2012 at Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service at 2:00 pm with Rev. Jackie Carver and Rev.Chad Miller officiating. Interment will follow in Union Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday, August 25, 2012 from 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm. at the funeral home. Arrangements are being handled by Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Huddleston.
