Obituary of James Brown JR

James M. Brown, Jr., 53 a resident of Bedford went to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 19, 2012. He was born on Thursday, October 2, 1958 in Bedford County, a son of James M. Brown, Sr. and Stella Tuck Brown of Bedford, who survive. He was also preceded in death by his grandparents, Edgar & Myrtle Tuck and Clinton & Pearl Saunders. He was employed by Pitt Ohio as a Line Haul Truck Driver which he enjoyed very much. Jr. was a member of Mount Olivet Southern Baptist Church in Bedford. He liked to restore classic cars and was always there to help anyone in anyway. In addition to his father & mother, he is survived by his loving wife, Terry Brown; his son, Mike Brown & fiance, Kim Kersey; his daughter, Joanna Brown & fiance, Aaron Wiseman; his step-daughter, Ashley King & husband, Anthony; his sister, Debbie McCulley & husband, Mark; mother-in-law, Joyce Mohler (Mother Angel), granddaughters, Alyssa Wiseman & Penelope Ann Brown, his nieces, Cassie Foster, Kecia Foster & Sophie McCulley. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Mount Oilvet Southern Baptist Church, 2933 Joppa Mill Road, Bedford, VA 24523. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 22, 2012 at 11:00 am at Mount Olivet Southern Baptist Church with Rev. Marc Reynolds officiating. Interment will follow in Tuck Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 2 until 4 & 6 until 8 PM at Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford.
