Virginia Dare Meadows, 87, of Murrells Inlet , SC died Tuesday, August 7, 2012 at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center, Myrtle Beach, SC. Born in Beckley , WV, Mrs. Meadows was the daughter of the late Oley Wade and Ada McCutcheon Godbey. She was preceded in death by her husband Frank Meadows. She was a member of Timberlake Baptist Church, Myrtle Beach , SC. Mrs. Meadows is survived by her sons, David and wife, Vicki Meadows, Murrells Inlet, SC; Frank W. Meadows of Culpeper, VA; grandchildren, Sarah Kate Burke and husband, Ryan, Keyser WV, Jonathan Meadows and wife, Ashley, Scott Depot, WV, Jennifer Cribb and husband, Billy; great grandchildren, Eli Ryan Burke, Reghan Elaine Meadows, and Payton Cribb; several nieces and nephews. She is also survived by one sister, Mazella Gwynn, San Diego , CA. A funeral service will be held Saturday, August 11, 2012 at the Radford Baptist Church, Moneta, Va. at 1:00 PM. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at the church. Entombment will be at the Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens in Beckley, WV . Donations may be made to InCare Hospice, 4685 Hwy. 17 Bypass Myrtle Beach, SC 29577. Arrangements by Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Huddleston.
