Edna Meador Southall, 87 of Bedford, passed away Saturday, October 27, 2012 at Bedford County Nursing Home. She was born on Sunday, December 21, 1924 in Bedford County, a daughter of the late Grady Meador and Zola Hurt Meador. She was also preceded in death by one sister and three brothers. She was a retired employee of General Electric and was a member of Diamond Hill Baptist Church. Surviving is her son, Jerry D. Dillon & wife, Vernelle of Bedford; a grandson, Audie D. Dillon & wife, Gail of Richmond; a sister, Peggy Hensley & husband, David of Bedford; a brother, Jimmy Meador of Moneta. Funeral services will be held at the graveside at Diamond Hill Baptist Church Cemetery on Monday, October 29, 2012 at 1:00 pm. The family will receive friends Monday from 11:30 am until the time of the service at Diamond Hill Baptist Church. Arrangements are being handled by Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford.
