David Lee Johnson, 47 of Bedford went to be with the Lord on Monday, October 22, 2012. He was born on Wednesday, March 3, 1965 in Bedford County, a son of Cecil Bennett Johnson and Elsie Amos Johnson of Bedford, who survive. He was a graduate of Liberty High School. In addition to his father & mother, he is survived by his brother, Darryl Johnson & wife, Tina of Goodview; two sisters, Cindy Edwards & husband, Scottie, Diane Kennedy & husband, Mike of Bedford, as well as several nieces & nephews, many friends & family. The family requests those wishing to make memorials to consider the charity of your choice. A funeral service will be held at the graveside at Timber Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery on Thursday, October 25, 2012 at 1:00 pm with Rev. Phillip Kelley officiating. The family will receive friends anytime at the home of his parents, Cecil & Elsie Johnson. Arrangements are being handled by Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford.
