William Nicholas Watson, 95 of Bedford, passed away Sunday, September 30, 2012 at Bedford County Nursing Home. He was born on Thursday, February 22, 1917 in Bedford County, a son of the late Frank E. Watson and Mattie Arrington Watson. He was a retired machinist and was a member of the B. P. O. E. Elks Lodge & the Peaksville Oddfellows Lodge #406. Surviving are his sons, David Allen (Bean) Watson of Bedford, Richard Ernest Watson of New Mexico. Funeral services will be held at the graveside at Suck Spring Baptist Church Cemetery on Wednesday, October 3, 2012 at 11 AM with Rev. Bob Sowder officiating. There will be no visitation. Arrangements are being handled by Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford.
