Obituary of Charles Holdren JR

Charles Rufus "Chuck" Holdren, Jr., 51 of Bedford, passed away Monday, November 19, 2012 at his residence. He was born on Wednesday, April 5, 1961 in Bedford, a son of the late Charles Rufus Holdren, Sr. and Betty Witt Holdren. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Danny & Jeff Holdren, his mother-in-law & father-in-law, Esther & Lynwood Morgan and a nephew, Charles Russell Holdren. Surviving is his wife, Sarah Morgan Holdren; a son, Justin Ryan Holdren; a daughter, Katie Lynn Holdren; two sisters, Charlotte Arrington & husband, Donnie, Becky Grant & husband, Steve; niece & nephews, Damon Arrington, Joey Arrington, Lee Holdren, Tucker & Casey Grant, Jeffery Holdren. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Moneta Lifesaving Crew, P. O. Box 497, Moneta, VA 24121 or the Moneta Fire Department, P. O. Box 455, Moneta, VA 24121 . Funeral services will be held at the graveside at the Holdren Family Cemetery on Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at 11:00 am with Rev. David Timma & Rev. Wayne Murphy officiating. The family will receive friends at the home following the service. Arrangements are being handled by Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford.
