Roseltha Louisa "Wally" Waldron Cosgrove, 87 of Huddleston, passed away Saturday, November 17, 2012 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. She was born on Sunday, September 27, 1925 in Cortland, NY, a daughter of the late James M. Waldron, Jr. and Lina Emily Robinson Waldron. She was also preceded in death by husband, Donald Richard Cosgrove. She was a registered nurse and owner and manager of Eagle's Roost Campground for 26 years. She was an avid & beautiful knitter and crochetter. She was always involved in the community and helped the Smith Mountain Lake area grow. She loved her family and many friends and was always ready to lend a helping hand. Surviving are her sons, Donald J. Cosgrove & wife, Diane of Richmond, Steven A. Cosgrove, William R. Cosgrove, both of Huddleston; a daughter, Christine L. Eisenmann & husband, Richard and her grandchildren, Alex J. Eisenmann & Kara M. Eisenmann, all of Lewisville, TX; two sisters, Helen Gleason, Margaret Wagner. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that those wishing to make memorials in memory of Wally, please consider the Huddleston Lifesaving Crew, P. O. Box 77, Huddleston, VA 24104, the Moneta Lifesaving Crew, P. O. Box 497, Moneta, VA 24121 or the charity of your choice A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at 3:00 PM at Updike Funeral Chapel, Huddleston with Rev. Dr. Carl H. Douglass, Jr. officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 2 PM until the time of the service at Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Huddleston.
