Audrey Janett Ayers Ferguson, 75 of Moneta, passed away Tuesday, November 6, 2012 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. She was born on Sunday, April 18, 1937 in Bedford County, a daughter of the late Dock Ayers and Nora Craighead Ayers. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Loyd James Ferguson, two sons, Loyd Wayne Ferguson, Roney Lee Ferguson, two brothers, Bill & Lewis Ayers and a son-in-law. Dexter Morgan. Surviving is her son, James Ray "Bo" Ferguson & friend, Joan Anthony; five daughters, Jennie Hale & husband, Donald, Sheila Ferguson & friend, Douglas Underwood, Rita Morgan, Connie Hamrick & husband, Mick, Vickie Carter & husband, Mike; five grandchildren, Daisy Lorraine Ferguson, Hunter Carter, April Johnson, Dawn Clark, Lanette Spinner; four great-grandchildren, Tyler Angle, Madison, Kaleb & Hailey Clark; three sisters, Ruth Tuck, Betty Wright, Rachael Ayers; three brothers, Raymond Ayers, Boyd Ayers, Buddy Ayers; sister-in-law, Iris Lipscomb & husband, Clyde. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 10, 2012 at 2:00 pm at Updike Funeral Chapel, Bedford with Dr. Frank Schmitt & Rev. Tommy Floyd officiating. Interment will follow in the East Lake Community Cemetery. Friends may call after 12 noon on Friday and the family will receive friends from 5 until 7 PM at Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford.
