Obituary of Dianne Galliher

On the evening of Saturday, December 22, 2012 with all of her family by her side, Dianne Poff Galliher, 65 of Moneta, went to be with the Lord. She fought a hard fight against cancer. She was born on Saturday, August 23, 1947 in Roanoke County, a daughter of the late Harold Poff and Irene Poff . She was also a loving wife, mother and grandmother and was a caring nurse with Village Family Physicians for twenty-four years and was a devoted member of Bethlehem United Methodist Church, where she was a member of the choir. Surviving is her husband of forty-four years, Al Galliher; two sons, Kevin Galliher & wife, Ann, Brian Galliher & wife, Susan all of Roanoke, five grandchildren, Lindsey, Reid, Josie, Madison & Sterling; her brother, Steve Poff & wife, Brenda of Roanoke. In lieu of flowers, the family requests those wishing to make memorials to consider donations to Angels Among Us, The Tisch Brain Tumor Center - Angels, DUMC Box 3624, Durham, NC 27710 Checks payable to: Duke University - 13BT. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 27, 2012 at 11:00 am at Bethlehem United Methodist Church with Rev. David Lord officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday, December 26, 2012 from 2 until 4 & 6 until 8 PM at Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford.
