Corine Hensley Draper, 78 of Bedford, passed away Thursday, December 20, 2012 at Bedford Memorial Hospital. She was born on Monday, July 2, 1934 in Bedford County, a daughter of the late Elijah Hensley and Maggie Davis Hensley. She was also preceded in death by her husband, William Jackson Draper & two sons, William Jackson Draper, Jr. & Claudell Jackson Draper. Surviving are her sons, Billy Ray Draper & wife, Cora, Tony Draper & wife, Tori all of Bedford; daughters, Connie D. Newberry & husband, David of Bedford, Cathy D. Campbell & husband, Danny of Concord, three brothers, David Hensley, Johnny Hensley, both of Bedford; Leroy Hensley of Rocky Mount; a sister, Frances Hensley of Bedford, thirteen grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 27, 2012 at 2:00 pm at Updike Funeral Chapel, Bedford with Rev. Richard Dooley officiating. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday from 12 noon until the time of the service at Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford.
