Obituary of Robert Sydnor

Robert M. Sydnor, 83 of Huddleston, passed away Monday, December 17, 2012 at his residence. He was born on Monday, October 7, 1929 in Fairfax, a son of the late Robert W. Sydnor and Huldah Sydnor. He was also preceded in death by a son, Wesley Sydnor and two brothers, Raymond & Richard Sydnor. He retired from the Police Department in Prince Georges County, MD as a Lieutentant and was a veteran of the U. S. Air Force. He spent most of his life in Southern Maryland. Surviving is his wife, Alice Kidd Sydnor; two daughters, Katherine Lawless & husband, Michael of Martinsville, Kelly Peters of Arlington, TX; two step-sons, Jerry Goode & wife, Eve of Huddleston, C. W. Goode of Overland, KS; fours sisters, Rose Hoovler of FL, Ruth Crowe of VA, Dorothy Watts of FL, Rita Larson of WA; sisters-in-law, Bonnie Sydnor of CA, Audie Sydnor of MD; two brothers, Roland Sydnor of FL, Russell Sydnor of MD, eight grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren. Special thanks to Jill Crawford, Sheila Griffin & Carla Warner of Centra Hospice for their loving care the past three months. Funeral services will be held at the graveside at Mountain View Cemetery on Thursday, December 20, 2012 at 1:00 PM with Rev. Jackie Carver officiating.
