Harold LeRoy Ford, 84 of Huddleston, VA passed away Wednesday, December 5, 2012 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. He was born on Saturday, August 25, 1928 in Patterson, NJ, a son of the late Maurice Ford and Florence Schiever Ford. He was retired U. S. Navy with 22 years service. Surviving is his wife, Doris Louise Bielli Ford; three sons, Russell Ford, Robert Ford, David Ford; daughters, Susan Peterson, Deborah Christman, many grandchildren and several great grandchildren. The family requests those wishing to make memorials to consider Huddleston Lifesaving Crew, P. O. Box 77, Huddleston, VA 24104. Funeral services will be held at the graveside at Patmos United Methodist Church on Saturday, December 8, 2012 at 2:00 pm. There will be no visitation. Arrangements are being handled by Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Huddleston.
