Doris Hogan Stevens, 84 of Huddleston, passed away Monday, January 21, 2013 at Centra Lynchburg General Hospital. She was born on Sunday, April 1, 1928 in Fayette Co., WV, a daughter of the late Herman Walker Hogan and Ozelma Cundiff Hogan. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James Harold Stevens and two brothers, Sonny Hogan & Claude Edward Hogan. She was a retired employee of Magna Tec and was a member of Huddleston United Methodist Church. Surviving is her daughter, Sherry S. Key & husband, Wayne of Bedford; two sisters, Gladys H. Ashwell of Huddleston, Lois H. Ringley & husband, Bob of Bedford. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 24, 2013 at 2:00 pm at Updike Funeral Chapel, Huddleston with Rev. Wayne Murphy & Rev. Steve Turner officiating. Interment will follow in Leftwich Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6 until 8 PM at Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Huddleston.
