Jerry Ross Ingram, 67 of Goode, passed away Monday, January 14, 2013 at his home. He was born on Sunday, January 21, 1945 in McMinn County, TN, a son of the late James W. Ingram Sr. and Edith Minge Hickey. After retiring from the U.S. Navy with 24 years of service, he became a Mail Carrier for the U.S. Post. Surviving is his wife, Kay F. Ingram, two daughters, Cynthia I. Meadows & husband James of Forest and Sandra I. Haggard & husband Forrest of Ukiah, OR; a son, Harold Blount & wife Beth of San Diego, CA; a sister, Doris Forgey Walker & husband Johnny of TN; a brother, James W. Ingram, Jr. & wife Martha of TN; five grandchildren, Jason, Jessica, Devon, Madeline & Taylor and three great-grandchildren, Olivia, Leigha & Grayson. The family requests those wishing to make memorials to consider the Wounded Warriors Foundation, P. O. Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675. A memorial service, with military honors provided by American Legion Post #16 will be held on Thursday, January 17, 2013 at 1:00 pm at Updike Funeral Chapel, Bedford. American Legion Post # 16 Chaplain, Bob Johnson will officiate. Arrangements are being handled by Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford.
