Arthur Carl McDilda, 81 of Moneta, passed away Friday, February 22, 2013 at the Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. He was born on Friday, February 12, 1932 in Norfolk, VA, a son of the late Clarence Curtis McDilda and Ada Morehead McDilda. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his daughter Margaret Wingfield & her husband Marshall Wingfield. He was a retired technician of the Otis Elevator Company and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. Surviving are his wife Martha Olga McDilda, 3 sons; Carl A. McDilda & wife Charli, Alan R. McDilda & wife, Patricia, Michael R McDilda, and a brother, Dwight C. McDilda all of Moneta, 7 Grandchildren and 4 Great-Grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 25, 2013 at 2:00 pm at Radford Baptist Church with Pastor Karl Hofheinz, Rev. Carl Butcher and Rev. David Whitehurst officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery . The family will receive friends Monday, February 25, 2013 beginning at1:00 pm, at the church. Arrangements are being handled by Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford.
