James Emmett "Jimmy" Greenway, 41 of Moneta, passed away Monday, June 28, 2010 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. He was born on Monday, November 18, 1968 in Roanoke, a son of Virginia Myers Greenway of Bedford and the late James Edward Greenway. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Takita Greenway. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his daughters, Tiffany L. Greenway of Bedford; Amber N. Greenway of Moneta; a son, Jason D. McBride of Moneta; two brother, Troy D. Greenway & wife, Sandra, Robert W. Greenway, all of Moneta, his best friend, Mark Lachance of Huddleston; uncles, Johnny Greenway, Gary Greenway as well as many other uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins. The family requests those wishing to make memorials to consider donations to Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Services, P. O. Box 926, Bedford, VA 24523 to help defray funeral expenses. A funeral services will be held on Friday, July 2, 2010 at 3:00 PM at Updike Funeral Chapel, Bedford with Rev. K. B. Arnold officiating. Friends may call Friday at 1 PM and the family will receive friends until the time of the service at Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford.
