Buford R. "Butterbean" Tuck, 88 of Moneta, passed away Tuesday, February 19, 2013 at his residence. He was born on Sunday, November 2, 1924 in Bedford County, a son of the late Grover Lee Tuck and Mary Ethel Myers Tuck. He was also preceded in death by his sisters, Ethel Davis Byrd, Berdie Lee Byrd and Ruth Irene Byrd and his son-in-law, Randall Rogers. He was a retired employee of Rubatex and was a member of Radford Baptist Church. Surviving is his wife, Virginia Mae Morgan Tuck; a daughter, Shelby T. Rogers and a grandson, Scott Rogers, both of Bedford Co. Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 22, 2013 at 1:00 pm at Radford Baptist Church with Rev. Karl Hofheinz officiating. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday from 4 until 7 PM at Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford.
