Eula Franklin Harrison, 97, of Hardy, passed away Thursday, February 28, 2013 at Raleigh Court Health Care Center in Roanoke. She was born on Sunday, January 30, 1916 in Bedford County, a daughter of the late Clifton Rush Franklin and Cora Murray Franklin. She was also preceded in death by her two husbands, Earl Agee, and Joseph Phillip Harrison, a son, Ray Corbin Franklin, three sisters, four brothers, a half-brother, and a grandchild. She is a retired restaurant owner and operator, and was a member of Rosalind Hills Baptist Church. She is survived by a grandson, Robert Franklin; a great-granddaughter, Sarah Franklin; a special caregiving niece, Debbie Dalton and her deceased husband Bill for their devoted love and care for Eula; also a number of nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held on, Monday, March 4, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at Montvale Presbyterian Church Cemetery with the Rev. Hugh Stringer officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday, March 03, 2013 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford.
