Christine Franklin Reckley, 92 of Bedford, passed away Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. She was born on Wednesday, October 6, 1920 in Bedford County, a daughter of the late John Franklin and Ruby Johnson Franklin. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Everett Chester Reckley and a grandson, Gary Pippin. Surviving is her daughter, Carol R. Osentoski & husband, George of Atlanta, GA; son-in-law, Jerry Raynor of Moneta, as well as five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2013 at 11:00 am at Updike Funeral Chapel, Bedford with Rev. Melvin Harris officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday beginning at 10 AM at Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford.
