Marcia Czapanskiy Brewer, 91 of Huddleston, passed away Friday, May 10, 2013 at Bedford Memorial Hospital. She was born on Thursday, January 5, 1922 in Miltonville, KS, a daughter of the late Arthur Carl Czapanskiy and Lula Gertrude Hunt Czapanskiy. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert Manning Brewer. She was a retired civil servant from the Federal Aviation Agency and was a member of Patmos United Methodist Church. Surviving are her daughters, Elaine Lambert of Merritt Island, FL, Nancy Dix of Littleton, CO, Barbara Hudson of Woodbridge, VA, Tamara Akin of Huddleston, VA; eight grandchildren, Keith Embry, Tim Hudson, Adrian Dix, Kris Akin, Brian Dix, Anna Hudson, Valerie Zargarpur, Douglas (Brew) Lambert; three great-grandchildren, Hana Embry, Leila Embry, Chloe Embry. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Bedford Ride, 1613 Oakwood Street, Bedford, VA 24523. Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 17, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Patmos United Methodist Church, Huddleston, with Rev. Riley Smith officiating. The family will receive friends Friday beginning at 1 PM at the church. Arrangements are being handled by Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Huddleston.
