Effie Creasy Bramlett, 82 of Thaxton, passed away Saturday, June 19, 2010 at Bedford Memorial Hospital. She was born on Sunday, July 3, 1927 in Bedford Co., a daughter of the late Asa Gilbert Creasy and Reva May Burnett Creasy. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Rubin Bramlett; two brothers, Asa Gilbert (A. G.) Creasy, Jr., Calvin Carlton (Bud) Creasy, and a daughter-in-law, Diane Bramlett. She was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. Surviving are her sons, Rubin Wayne Bramlett of Thaxton, Norris Elroy Bramlett of Vinton; a sister, Ozella Ashwell of Huddleston, three grandchildren, five great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 22, 2010 at 10:00 AM at Updike Funeral Chapel, Bedford with Rev. Bill Mitchell officiating. Interment will follow in the Bramlett Family Cemetery.
