Christine Barbour Roach, 70 of Huddleston, passed away Friday, May 3, 2013 at her residence. She was born on Saturday, October 24, 1942 in Campbell County, a daughter of the late Richard David Barbour and Zula Estelle Dillon Barbour. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Billy Ramsey Roach, and two sons, Danny & Terry Roach. She was an employee of Universal Mechanics. Surviving are her daughters, Sarah Waller & husband, Thomas of Gretna, Missy Little & husband, Tommy of Huddleston; two sons, Stony Roach & wife, Kim of Vinton, Shonda Roach & wife, Prestie of Huddleston; two sisters, Patricia Sue Oakley & husband, Leon of Burlington, NC, Claudia Dean Childress of Hurt as well as thirteen grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 6, 2013 at 11:00 am at Huddleston Church of God of Prophecy with Rev. Wayne Murphy officiating. Interment will follow in the Roach Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 3 until 6 PM at the Huddleston Church of God of Prophecy. Arrangements are being handled by Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Huddleston.
