Obituary of Annie Ferrell

Annie Roberts Ferrell, 94 of Moneta, passed away Sunday, June 30, 2013 at her residence. She was born on Monday, July 29, 1918 in Bedford County, a daughter of the late Charles BallardRoberts and Lula Louise Hicks Roberts. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Hagen Sherman Ferrell and was the last surviving member of her family of eight brothers and sisters. Surviving is her daughter, Louise Haldren & husband, Harold of Princeton, WV; two sons, George Ferrell & wife, Ann of Moneta, Billy Ferrell & wife, Ruth of Hurt; Grandchildren, Andy Haldren & wife, Valorie & their children, Andrew & Rachel of Moneta, Lori Newlon & husband, Ben & their son, Liam of Huntington, WV, James Ferrell & wife, Trish & their son, Tucker of Pilot, Paul Ferrell & wife, Sharon & their children, Christopher & Patrick of Christiansburg, Michelle Ferrell of Hurt, Joey Anthony & wife, Angie & their children, Christopher & wife, Brittany & their son, Carson; Heather, Hannah & Lydia of Phenix, Lisa Anthony & fiance, Alan Edwards, Beth Thurman & husband, Thomas & their children, Lee & Tyler of Altavista as well as numerous nieces & nephews. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 3, 2013 at 2 PM at Updike Funeral Chapel, Bedford with Rev. Glenn Stevens officiating. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 2, 2013 from 6 until 8 PM at Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford.
