Amy Krysteen Doyle, 38 of Lynchburg, passed away Tuesday, July 2, 2013 at Duke University Medical Center. She was born on Tuesday, October 29, 1974 in South Hill, a daughter of Ray Allen Buchanan of Raleigh, NC and Marian K. Kelly of Big Island. Amy was a homemaker & mother & was a member of Center Point United Methodist Church as well as the American Cancer Society Relay for Life. In addition to her father & mother, she is survived by her husband, Doug Allen Doyle; two daughters, Kimber S. Courtney, Molly K. Parrish; two sons, Keegan H. Parrish, Morgun A. Parrish, all of Lynchburg; a brother, Peter A. Buchanan of Big Island; her mother-in-law, Sarah Doyle of Lynchburg and her maternal grandmother, Frances K. Hanchey of Lynchburg. The family requests those wishing to make memorials to consider American Cancer Society, 2316 Atherholt Road, Lynchburg, VA 23501 or littlepink.org. 2375 Corporate Parkway, Burlington, NC 27215. Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 5, 2013 at 2:00 pm at Updike Funeral Chapel, Bedford with Rev. William Clark & Rev. Tammy Clark officiating. Interment will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday beginning at 12 noon until the time of the service at Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford.
