Ruth Tanajes Schultz, 84 of Huddleston, VA passed away Sunday, June 13, 2010 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. She was born on Tuesday, October 27, 1925 in Arlington, NJ, a daughter of the late Adam Tanajes and Stella Lucazewski Tanajes. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Cynthia Jeanne Stewart and a grandson, Jonathan Stewart. She was a retired bookkeeper with Coastwide Communications Inc. She is survived by her husband, Edward Joseph Schultz; a daughter, Leslie Suhonen & husband, Matti of Kupio, Finland; a son, Stephen Edward Schultz & Marian of Brick, NJ; two grandsons, Anssi Suhonen and Janne Suhonen, both of of Kupio, Finland; three sisters, Claire Dart, Frances Adkins and Carolyn Tanajes; a brother, Robert Tanajes. Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 18, 2010 at 12:00 noon at Patmos United Methodist Church, Huddleston, VA with Rev. Dr. Carl H. Douglass, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in Patmos United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday beginning at 11 AM at the church.
