Jeanne Thomas Sullivan, 54 of Bedford, passed away Wednesday, July 31, 2013. She was born on Monday, August 11, 1958 in Bedford County, a daughter of Elizabeth Eakin Thomas of Bedford who survives and the late Reece Carlton Thomas. She was a Marketing Specialist with Virginia Credit Union League. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her fiancee, George McDonald of Lynchburg; her brother, Allen Carlton Thomas & wife, Gail of Ohio; three step-daughters, Brooke McDonald, Amanda Hendricks & husband, Josh all of Lynchburg, Lillie McDonald of Forest; three grandchildren, Elexis, Michael & Kylie; her aunt, Opal Barbour of Roanoke and many cousins. The family requests that those wishing to make a memorial in memory of Jeanne to consider the Make A Wish Foundation, Gift Processing Center, P. O. Box 6062, Albert Lea, MN 56007-6662. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 3, 2013 at 11:00 am at Updike Funeral Chapel, Bedford with Rev. C. Douglas Pillow officiating. Interment will follow in Oakwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 6 until 8 PM at Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford.
