Heaven received another angel when Jim Chambers, 54 of Huddleston, passed away Sunday, September 1, 2013 at his home. Jim's love for his family and friends was immeasurable. Jim never met a stranger and always had a story to tell. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and watching Nascar racing. He was born on Monday, April 20, 1959 in Bedford, a son of the late Clarence J. Chambers, Sr. and Clarice C. Williams Chambers. Jim is survived by his wife of twenty-five years, Kimm Chambers; his daughter, Brittany Cook & husband, Glenn of Huddleston; his granddaughter, Kaydence Cook of Huddleston; his brother, Jewel Chambers & wife, Helen of Huddleston; his sister, Sharon Newman & husband, David, Jr. of Bedford, brother-in-law, John Brunette, Jr. of AZ and several dear nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 4, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Updike Funeral Chapel, Huddleston with Rev. David Timma & Rev. Wayne Murphy officiating. Interment will follow in Quaker Baptist Church Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday after 2 PM and the family will receive friends from 6 until 8 PM at Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Huddleston.
