James C. Hayden, Jr., 66 of Huddleston, passed away Monday, September 2, 2013 at the Envoy of Williamsburg Nursing Home. He was born on Wednesday, August 13, 1947 in Washington, DC, a son of the late Mary Elizabeth "Betty" Heselton Machotka & Ralph William "Bill" Machotka . He was also preceded in death by a brother, Donald Hayden. Surviving are his sons, James Hayden, Jr. & wife, Debbie of FL, Travis Hayden of Huddleston; daughters, Holly Tuck & husband, Keith of Moneta, Heather Hayden & fiance, Ross Beesley of Ashburn; seven grandchildren; two brothers, Billy Machotka of SC, Frank Machotka of Front Royal; three sisters, Angel Robinson & husband, Dennis of Tappahannock, Cathi Graninger & husband, Al of Spotsylvania, Mia Hannahs & husband, David of Knoxville, TN. A memorial service will be held on Friday, September 6, 2013 at 11:00 am at Updike Funeral Chapel, Huddleston with Rev. Tim Dooley officiating. Arrangements are being handled by Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Huddleston.
