Wilson Chesterfield Overstreet, 92 of Bedford, passed away Tuesday, November 12, 2013 at his residence. He was born on Monday, November 15, 1920 in Bedford County, a son of the late David C. Overstreet and Mary Ruff Overstreet. He was a retired employee of Rubatex Corporation and was a veteran of the U. S. Army having served during World War II. Surviving is his wife, Evelyn Josephine Phillips Overstreet; his daughter, Bonnie Dellinger & husband, Carroll of Bedford; his son, Dale Overstreet & wife, Joycee of Raleigh, NC; three grandchildren, Theresa Sloan, Jason Overstreet Jared Overstreet; great-grandchildren, Michael Sloan, Katlyn Overstreet, Erin Overstreet, Evelyn Overstreet, Eleanor Overstreet. Funeral services will be held at the graveside at Peaks Presbyterian Church & Community Cemetery on Thursday, November 14, 2013 at 2 PM with Rev.Wayne Murphy officiating. There will be no visitation. Arrangements are being handled by Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford.
