Betty Lee Bennett Barton, 82 of Bedford and formerly of Roanoke passed away Friday, November 22, 2013 at the home of her daughter. She was born on Saturday, April 25, 1931 in Bedford Co., a daughter of the late Harry Marvin Bennett and Flossie Ferguson Bennett. She was also preceded in death by her husband, William Barton. She was a assembler with AMP. Surviving is her son, Mickey R. Barton & wife, Brenda; her daughter, Trevia L. Blankenship & husband, Kelly; her grandchildren, William O. Barton & wife, Tammie, Brittany M. Dunbar, Lanie D. Holbrook, Kristen H. Chapman; her great-grandchildren, Lindsey R. Barton, Regina D. Barton, Megan N. Barton, Grace Chapman and her great great grandchildren, Erica L. O'Quinn & Brooklyn R. O'Quinn. Funeral services will be held at the graveside at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens on Monday, November 25, 2013 at 1:00 pm with Rev. Wayne Murphy officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday, November 24, 2013 from 2 until 4 PM at Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford.
