John Raymond Bushey, Jr., 75 of Forest, formerly of Luray passed away Saturday, December 28, 2013 at his home. He was born on Sunday, July 3, 1938 in Luray, a son of the late John Raymond Bushey Sr. and Neva Marie Eppard Bushey . He was also preceded in death by wife, Cynthia Spitler Bushey. He was a retired attorney. Surviving are his daughters, Julia Raye Bushey Rodgers& her husband Charles B. Jr. of Forest, Lisa Renee Bushey Mackey of Forest, granddaughter, Morgan Maria Rodgers of Forest, grandson, John Garrett Dawson of Forest, a brother, Ronald Eppard Bushey of Luray and his cousin, Patricia R. Modisett of Harrisonburg. Funeral services will be held on Friday January 3, 2014 from the Leaksville Church of Christ at 11:00 AM. The family will receive friends prior to the service at the church. Arrangements are being handled by Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford.
