Raymond Charleston Clemons, Sr., 63 of Bedford, passed away Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at his residence. He was born on Saturday, August 12, 1950 in Floyd County, a son of the late J. W. Clemons and Mandy Ellen Songer Clemons. Surviving is his wife, Carol Vance Clemons; four sons, Raymond Clemons, Jr. & wife, JoAnn, Larry Wayne Clemons, Michael A. Clemons all of Bedford, Barry C. Clemons of Lynchburg; a daughter, Carol Sue Clemons of Bedford; grandchildren, Jacob Charleston, Gracie, Waylon, Rhonda Ann, Cody Clay, B.J., Mandy & Kristin Clemons, Katie Marie & Justin Wayne Brown, great-grandchild, Mckenzie N. Lowe as well as two brothers & one sister. Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 3, 2014 at 2:00 pm at the Graveside at Holy Land - Mount of Olives Cemetery with Rev. Ray Lyons officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday from 6 until 8 PM at Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford.
