Sally Witt St.Clair, 80 of Bedford, passed away Saturday, February 22, 2014 at Runk & Pratt Nursing Home in Forest. She was born on Monday, July 17, 1933 in Bedford Co., a daughter of the late Samuel Peyton Witt and Lucy Leftwich Witt. She was also preceded in death by her son, Jerry Davis St.Clair, her daughter, Patsy Ann St.Clair, brothers, Price & Pat Witt and her sister, Margaret W. Hamm. Sally attended Huddleston High School and retired from Elizabeth Arden in Roanoke. She was a person that loved the outdoors. She loved farming her land and caring for her cows, horses and two special dogs, Rocky & Susie. She was a friend to everyone. Surviving are her sisters, Elna Evans of Evington, Sarah Thurman of Vinton, Dora W. Glisson of Winterville, NC; two grandchildren, Harley St.Clair, Samantha St. Clair; great-grandchildren, Hannah & Chase St.Clair, many nieces and nephews and good friends, Jim & Dot Russell. The family requests those wishing to make memorials to consider Bedford Humane Society, P. O. Box 1293, Bedford, VA 24523 Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 25, 2014 at 11:00 am at Updike Funeral Chapel, Bedford with Rev. Wayne Murphy officiating. Interment will follow in Virginia Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Tuesday, beginning at 10 AM and until the time of the service at Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford.
