Ethan Wayne Aponte, 6 of Bedford, son of Nathan Justin Aponte and Emily Lynn Honaker Aponte passed away Saturday, April 26, 2014 as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was born on Friday, June 15, 2007 in Bedford, VA. He was also preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, David Gary Honaker. In addition to his father & mother, he is survived by his sister, Alexandria Nicole Breeden of Bedford, paternal grandparents, Sandra Newby & Will Newby both of Amherst; his paternal grandparents, Harry Aponte & Fran Aponte both of NY; maternal grandmother, Dana Honaker of Stewartsville; maternal grandfather, Ricky Sarver of Catawba; his PaPa, Lewis Wayne Arthur of Goode; his aunt, Amanda Honaker of Stewartsville, as well as numerous cousins & relatives. Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 2, 2014 at 11:00 am at Sedalia Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Jones officiating. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday from 6 until 8 PM at Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford.
