Elizabeth Sue "Betty" Nance, 83 of Lynchburg passed away Saturday, June 21, 2014 at Centra Lynchburg General Hospital. She was born on Friday, November 28, 1930 in Roanoke, a daughter of the late Frank Lee Nance and Clarice McManaway Nance. She was also preceded in death by brothers, Howard and Bill and her sister, Marie Jefferson. She was a member of Mt. Olivet Southern Baptist Church. Surviving are her brothers, Walter & Robert Nance & a sister, Carol Bush & husband, Bill as well as beloved nieces, nephews, cousins and friends at Lynchburg Health & Rehab. Center. The family requests that those wishing to make memorials to consider the Mt. Olivet Southern Baptist Church, 2933 Mt. Olivet Road, Bedford, VA 24523. Funeral services will be held at the graveside on Tuesday, June 24, 2014 at 12:00 pm at Mt. Olivet Southern Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Wayne Murphy officiating. The family will receive friends Monday from 6 until 8 PM at Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford.
