Jackie Lynn Dawson, 40 of Bedford, passed away Friday, July 4, 2014 at her residence. She was born May 13, 1974 in Lynchburg, a daughter of Jack Turner Dawson & Kay Howell Dawson of Bedford who survive. She was preceded in death by a son & daughter, Jaiden Michael & Kayelynn Grace Ashwell. In addition to her father & mother, she is also survived by an aunt, Faye Nichols; uncles, G. B. Dawson & wife, Martha, Jerry Dawson; and special friends, Donnie & Jenny Stinnette & Lorye & Christy as well as several cousins. The family requests that those wishing to make memorials to consider the Bedford Humane Society, 829 Ole Turnpike Drive, Bedford, VA 24253 or Heartstrings Infant Loss Support Group, P. O. Box 10825, Greensboro, NC 27284. A funeral service will be conducted at the graveside at Greenwood Cemetery on Thursday, July 10, 2014 at 10 AM with Rev. Wayne Murphy officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6 until 8 PM at Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford.
