Eunice Burnette Bolling, 84 of Bedford, passed away Saturday, July 19, 2014 at Centra Lynchburg General Hospital. She was born on Monday, December 9, 1929 in Bedford Co., a daughter of the late William Homer Burnette and Bertha Snow Turner. She was also preceded in death by husband, Joseph Odell Bolling & two brothers, Richard T. Burnette & William Homer Burnette, Jr. She was a retired school aide & pianist and was a member of Mt. Olivet Southern Baptist Church. Surviving is her daughter, Donna Bolling Kessler of Bedford; two sons, Joseph Odell Bolling, Jr. of Bedford, William Thomas Bolling & wife, Kimberly of Sutherlin; a sister, Dorothy Jean B. Hannabass & husband, Robert of Goodview; two brothers, J. T. Burnette & wife, Helen of Bedford, Rucker Preston Burnette & wife, Mary Fern of NC, two sisters-in-law, Clara B. Burnette, Shirley L. Burnette both of Bedford; seven grandchildren & seven great grandchildren as well as the Bolling family and her church family. The family requests those wishing to make memorials to consider Mt. Olivet Southern Baptist Church, 2933 Mt. Olivet Road, Bedford, VA 24523. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 23, 2014 at 11:00 am at Mt. Olivet Southern Baptist Church with Rev. Marc Reynolds & Rev. Mike Jones officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday after 3 PM and the family will receive friends from 6 until 8 PM at Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford.
