Bettie Arthur Overstreet, 91 of Bedford, passed away Tuesday, September 16, 2014 at Oakwood Health & Rehab. Center. She was born on Saturday, May 12, 1923 in Bedford County, a daughter of the late John W. Arthur and Susie Mabel Howell Arthur. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Otis Overstreet & a granddaughter, Kristy Overstreet. She was a member of Main Street United Methodist Church. Surviving is her son, Wayne Overstreet & wife, Dana of Bedford; her grandsons, Gregory Wayne Overstreet & wife, Kelly of Bedford, Timothy Scott Overstreet & wife, Sandy of Thaxton; her sister, Frances Little & husband, Tony of Lynchburg; great grandchildren, Zakry, Eli, Lani, Abby & Ally Overstreet & a step great granddaughter, Kaylynn Caldwell. A funeral service will be held at the graveside at Virginia Memorial Park on Friday, September 19, 2014 at 11:00 am with Rev. Tim Wilgus officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday from 6 until 8 PM at Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford
